Parsnegar to Unicode conversion

2005-08-10 Thread Kenneth M Horan

I found an archived e-mail from this
list (Dec 14 2004) from Dr Manooch Azmoodeh with the exact same problem
I have about wanting to convert ParsNegar to Unicode.

I have some documents written using the ParsNegar program that I would
like to convert to Unicode, however I'm having a heck of a time doing it.
I've completed my translation table but figuring out the byte order
to comply with the Unicode Bidirectional Algorithm is driving me nuts!
Is it possible someone has made such a conversion that I could use?
For some reason I can't find a single tool for encoding bidirectional
Unicode.  I've found text editors that do it so it can't be that hard,
but I'm just not having any luck.

2005-08-10 Thread M. Emal Alekozai
Hi mailinglist,

I've got several Parsnegar files which I want to convert to Unicode.
I'm looking for conversion tool /script.
Can anyone help me?
A few months ago there was a similar question in the mailinglist but the
answer wasn't posted to the mailinglist :-( .

Thanks in advance.
Regards Emal

2004-12-18 Thread Ehsan Akhgari
Mr. Khazaee misdirected the email to me personally. I thought I'd send it
to the whole list.

RE: Parsnegar to Unicode conversion AND phonetic Farsi keyboard withEnglish keyboard

2004-12-17 Thread Ehsan Akhgari

Also, I was wondering if anyone
knows a way of defining a user-defined keyboard to use with Farsi Unicode,
similar to Parsnegar which allows to define a phonetic Farsi keyboard with
English keyboards, so that, when typing in Microsoft word in Farsi, I could
use key “J” for letter “jim”, “A” for letter “alef”, etc.
You need your custom keyboard layout.  M$
has a tool for that: Microsoft Keyboard Layout
Creator.  You can use it to create your fully
(well, nearly fully) customized keyboard layout for Windows.

Parsnegar to Unicode conversion AND phonetic Farsi keyboard with English keyboard

2004-12-14 Thread manooch.azmoodeh

Doostan salam,

I am looking for a conversion program to convert Parsnegar
to Unicode. I saw a few postings on farsiweb bulletin board, but it seems it’s
not active anymore. I have a few Parsnagar files which I need to convert to
Unicode.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knows a way of defining a
user-defined keyboard to use with Farsi Unicode, similar to Parsnegar which
allows to define a phonetic Farsi keyboard with English keyboards, so that, when
typing in Microsoft word in Farsi, I could use key “J” for letter “jim”,
“A” for letter “alef”, etc.

With many thanks in advance.

Regards

Manoocher
