Staphylinid or rove beetle. For the most part are predaceous, some feed on
decaying vegetation, few are termitophiles or myrmecophiles, few are
specialist predators with modified moutparts. Not really a pest at all.

Looks like another carabid beetle ID made it to the list. Family Carabidae
(Order Coleoptera). There's been mention of family info on some recent
posts.
