[pgadmin-hackers] pgAdmin3 on Windows 9x

2003-10-14 Thread Howard Bagcat
Quoting Dave Page [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

What's wrong in having a Windows 9x release of pgAdmin?

Windows 9x doesn't have the Unicode support we require, and we figured
that most ppl are on Win2k by now. You are the first person to have
 brought it up!

I believed me too. I raised that issue to Andreas when pgAdmin3 was on beta stage. And
he did told
me about the unicode thing. I was not aware that it can be compiled without unicode
support, until i
read this e-mail.

Here in the Philippines, as the MS licensing issue bar us from upgrading new MS OS,
Windows 9X is still
popular. So I guessed Windows 9X for PgAdmin3 should be in the pgadmin-hackers
consideration.

Anyway, it is just a suggestion.

Jean:
Sorry for I was not able to reply your emails, lately. I am really looking forward to
submit my tl_PH
translation soon.

Kumusta, Howard.

[pgadmin-hackers] translation-related clarification

2003-07-07 Thread Howard Bagcat
anyone,

I just want to clarify this:

'Original String' prefixed with should not be changed in order to preserve
default shortcut keys. I understand that 'items' that starts with denotes
ALT+('items' first Character, next to ) as its shortcut key.

Not aware 'til I read the translation_howto, I translated some of the
prefixed 'Original Strings' into my native language. Later I noticed that
typical Filipino PgAdmin3 user will rather use the default pgadmin language than
'tl_PH' language for a possible reason that some shortcut keys are denoted to a
different 'item' compared to the default 'en_US' translation. I think as much as
possible, translated pgadmin must preserve important shortcut keys in order for
the pgadmin user not to missed up things.

Mabuhay, Howard.

2003-06-23 Thread Howard Bagcat
anyone,

Just want to ask is there any .pot for pgadmin3? I'm thinking of creating a
Filipino/Tagalog translation. I'm new to poEdit but I guess hardwork will paid
off. :)

Hiroshi, mind if you could share your idea how you come up with your pgadmin3 jp
version? I mean the translation procedure and all that.

Thanks.

Cheers, Howard.
