Is there any significance to a maroon colored Amberol cylinder? A friend said
he found one, and since he is a knowledgeable collector, I believe him when he
says its unusual and unlike others he has seen over 40 yrs. - I haven't seen it
yet. Any ideas?
Ask the number. I've seen royal purples that approach maroon.

What you have is definitely called a Royal Purple Amberol.
The numbers of the Royal Purples run from 28,101 up to 29007, according to my
data base.

were recorded by the upper crust performers (instrumentalists and

What you have is
Phono list:
Some years back I had inquired about aBrunswick model AZ-944
phonograph, with a model number AP-952 amplifier.
Someone had replied with a comment they had a schematic or documentation
on the machine.
I filed it away and ! can't find it now that I need it.
I was lucky with an early find resulting in removal of a kidney with
renal cell carcinoma 1 year ago. Apparently clear.
