Hello This machine is a PARLOPHONE, and you'd have to be pretty skilled to dictate on to this model as its only a cylinder shaver. PARLOPHONE also made Cylinder Dictating machines, and the one of the same era as the shaver is in a black metal case, usually on a metal trolley with wheels.

Hi Loran Sorry did'nt see your mail before I made a reply. One can see in the photo's the large drawer for the swarf (?shaved of wax). So its a fairly industrial strength machine. I havent tried to connect mine to the power supply to see how well it works in case I do damage to the national
