[PHP-DB] Mulitpart form posts and mysql blobs

How are files encoded when theyre sent in mulitpart forms??? Is it the same as blob fields in mySQL databased when you use the LOAD_FILE() command?? If not, is it easy to convert from one to the other?? At the moment, Im taking the blob from mySQL and writing it to a file and then uploading that

I want to SELECT * from a table and also update the hit counter by 1. So theres 2 different queries which I know I can easily do in PHP seperately, but I thought itd be quicker and more efficient to run them in the same query, ie seperated by a ';'. But PHP returns an error, and it works fine on
