I've understood, it's Windows.
If you added root php directory to Path environment variable it sometimes
does not take effect until you restart Windows. (???May be it's cached
somewhere?)
And don't forget to change in php.ini Extension Directory to ./ext or where
all extension dll's are placed.

I tried to upgrade php3* to php4 on my win98 machine. Downloaded the binarie
and tried to install it. Every time I trie to request a *.php-file I get the
