I have a file where the pointer is set at EOF.
Is it possible, in a very easy way, to rewind it 5 lines? Thereby being
able to return the last 5 lines of the file with "fgets".

Remember, PEAR::DB also uses the standard functions, so I can't
understand, why it should be much slower.

You have to remeber that PEAR::DB is an object oriented abstraction over
the standard functions, and within this abstraction, there is also built
som error handling funtions, etc.

I am having a major prolem when compiling PHP5the problem is new,
and I have never had it before. I have tried compiling on to seperate
dists og Linux, Debian testing and Slackware 9.0, but the error persistes.
The output I recieve is:
