Here:
if((user($arbitraryVariable) >= 1) and ($arbitraryVariable <= 4) and
($arbitraryVariable == round($arbitraryVariable)))
In other cases, you'd have to write
if((user($arbitraryVariable)==1)

What would be the proper syntax for this?
