There must be a cleaner/easier way of removing 'maked' programs under
Linux. I guess I'll find a way after trawling the web, etc. :)

lying around, even if this course of action is possible. Leaving redundant
files lying around reminds me too much of Windows and it's registry!! :-)

The PHP's thttpd SAPI only supports the .php extension but various PHP
based, third party apps require the .phtml extension.
BTW, recoding the third party apps to use .php is not a viable option. The
job would have to be redone each time an updated version is rolled out :-)
