After some discussions in IRC, we decided to change the Wiki tag from
'preload="metadata"' to 'preload="none"'. This improved the situation a lot it
seems.

It turned out that Chrome cannot handle more than 6 videos in a page (and this
article has 18!), because it ignores the 'preload="metadata"' attribute, but is
unable to handle more than 6 concurrent connections to the server, so it chokes
itself ;)

Hmm, really? Here on Android with Firefox it works, and also on Debian both in
Firefox and Chromium.

However, it seems to take quite a while until the page is ready, because it has
are 18 videos in total (despite the Wiki does preload="metadata" in its
tag).

Is that the reason? Any idea then? Should I better split the page into many
smaller pieces?

Hi Alex!

I really like this article. Unfortunately, I couldn't access the vids in
Safari on my iPhone. (Yes, an iPhone, but I promise you that I don't
wear turtlenecks or berets. :) The video stills look like the
triangular "Play" icon with a diagonal slash over it, and I couldn't
press anything on or around this to make any video play. I will try on
another device tomorrow. Nevertheless, the text is of the high quality
of writing to which I am accustomed from you.
Best, --Rick

Hi all,

whoever might be interested in PicoLisp development on (and also for) Android:

I published an article, with many short videos, in

trying to explain how I do it most of my time.

Hope it is useful! :)
