Can you guys offer some info on making a pinhole for a 5x7 camera. I would
like to have about 135 mm. I have read some info and it suggested a #10
needle, but wow is that incredibly small. Maybe drilling would be better.
Thanks for any assistance with pointing me in the right direction. Ignore
Hi Hans ,
I often use a Pinhole Body Cap on my old Nikon FE body or sometimes on a
Nikon F801 because it allows me to have both lens and pinhole camera when I
can bring with me only minimum weight of photo equipment...
I had bought 2 years ago a Finney pinhole body cap which I ordered at

I have another suggestion for the subject line (forgive me if this has
already been suggested and i overlooked it)
Could the subject line be in BOLD TYPE? I often scroll down the digest list
looking for certain threads of the discussion and it would be easier if the

Since the distance between the hole and the film support at the back
of the camera is approx. 5mm, to get the best possible sharpness the
pinhole should be 0.25 mm. However, part of the charme of pinhole
photos is a slight fuzzyness combined with the fact that it does not
matter wether
Hi there,
Does anybody know which size the pinhole should be on a Nikon bodycap. I am
trying to make one on my own.

An additional data point: in Outlook I can filter using the From: address,
and since all the email comes from pinhole-discussion, it would be easy
enough to use that filter, instead of the subject line. I imagine you can
set a similar filter in other programs.
I also use the subject line to filter my mail into different folders, but if
the subject line was shortened to just pinhole we'd still have the
filtering capabilities and the subject lines would be shorter.

Like many others, I also use the [pinhole-discussion] as a way of filtering
my email messages and routing list messages directly into my
pinhole-discussion mail box. I appreciate that it would present a problem
to many people if it were removed. Likewise, changing it would also be

Allow me to put a second to that. PermaWash works just fine in clearing

Hello Jean
Thanks for your reply. I shall contact you off-list for a
neighbourly chat. In the meantime I understood that Altoids come in
oblong tin boxes roughly the size of a box of cigarettes (roughly
10x6x3cm). The lid covers one of the flat sides and is hinged to the
box. The same kind of box
Hi Ricardo
I receive discussion entries in the same mail box with all my other
messages. It has therefore been most helpful to me to be able to quickly
identify pinhole messages from others. I prefer to postpone reading them
when I have plenty of time. [pinhole] as a prefix in the subject line

Dear Gregg,
What do you think of the idea of removing [pinhole-discussion] from the
subject line we receive identifying the message, so that we could have more

Sodium sulfite is grainy and difficult to work with. I have used Polaroid

3 ozs. to 1 gallon of water. It works like a charm.
Good Luck.
