Hi:
Depends on what you want to do. One of the standard kodak ortho
developers in called fineline - mixed as two stock solutions which are
combined prior to development. This gives a high contrast negative
The developer should give some info on effective film speeds, depends on

ummm, sorry.. i also wanted to ask if anyone has sort of a summary of
developing techniques for that ortho-litho stuff (eg which chemicals in
which dilutions). i wish there was an easier way to search the archives.

I also found it impossible to enlarge the images. the 'hand pointer'
appears fine but with no result.
Using latest Netscape on Mac.
Any thoughts?

Excuse me for butting in. I regularlyuse Type 55 at ISO 25 and use the
following reciprocity corrections:
Indicated exposure Correction factor Final exposure
8 seconds 2x 16 seconds
16 seconds 2.5x 40 seconds
32
Try 5 or 10. Instead of under or over exposure what you get is more or less
black areas. it's alsmost a matter of personal taste.

Thanks for spending the time and effort necessary to provide a very nice
site. I really enjoy your images and, as an instructor in photography at a
community college, find them esthetically beautiful.
As for suggestions re: the site, It would be nice to be able to go from one
image to another wi
Hey everyone,
I'm sorry, but I've searched the archives all morning - I even downloaded
the 18MB file and searched it that way - and I can't find the answers to the
question that I asked last year about the ASA of the ortho-litho film that I
got from photo warehouse (i think) last spring. They'
In his book, "Polaroid Land Photography", By Ansel Adams from 1978 he
states that;
an indicated time of 8 sec should be 16 sec (2X)
an indicated time of 16 sec should be 40 sec (2.5x)
an indicated time of 32 sec should be 96 sec (3x)
an indicated time of 64 sec should be 256 sec (4x)

My memory of my work with type 55 is that the reciprocity corrections used
for other film worked fine with type 55. I exposed for negative, not
positive, ASA 25.

I'll join on that too. Would there be a way to post that information
somewhere that is can be retreived by a lot of people, since I'm sure

Hi Gordy,
The last I've done about a Bennett show was talk to David Pamperin a
couple of months ago. It was a good long conversation, he listened
and seemed interested in the idea of a pinhole show. I've been
meaning to send him a follow-up (reminder) letter. Should have done
it by now, but bei
Tom, I would like a copy also. I now know what the new museum display will
be at the H.H. BENNETT MUSEUM . I think it will bring a lot of people to

I would appreciate the list also. I just bought a pack of Type 55 for

Late last year a list member published a chart of reciprocity
adjustments with Type 55 Polaroid. I printed it out, lost it, and now
can't find it in the archives. Some interior work has taken me into
uncharted (to me) realms with this wonderful material. Help and thanks.

No. The slides are much larger; you will need a medium format
slode projector. (If it is the original Zero 2000, rather than the
6x9 convertable version, the image area is 6 cm by 6 cm or
two and a quarter inches square. The outside dimensions of the
mounted slides is slightly larger than that.
Wow. Very impressive. You put a lot of work into the
site and it shows.
