A look at the source tells me that there is only one file using Sun specific APIs - src/org/jCharts/encoders/JPEGEncoder13.java. Also it looks like this file has been superseeded by src/org/jCharts/encoders/JPEGEncoder.java which uses java standard APIs. So it makes sense to not compile
