sun-java6-jdk package from non-free? We are trying to figure out the
reasons people might still be choosing to use their own Debianized
packages on architectures where the pre-packaged versions are available.

Separating out pieces of non-free JREs/JDKs, no matter how pragmatic
it may seem, is not permitted by the licensing agreements. Therefore,
we would not pursue this effort as it would possibly expose Debian and
its users to undesireable liabilities.

is highly impractical. Simply reviewing all of them for
alternatives installation took 16 hours for me catalog, modify, and
review this weekend. It's mind-numbingly tedious, and this suggestion
would increase the amount of work several times over.
