If a package is actively used then it makes sense to maintain it - which

I do not expect dart-sass soon in Debian: Requires someone to package

If we cannot (or will not) maintain a general deviation of Typescript to

I sure think uglifyjs is safer to use than *outdated* closure-compiler.
Just make sure to test the result as best you can.
I even think that switching from outdated closure-compiler to uglifyjs
is a noble thing to do during soft-freeze - but that's yo

suggest to instead use uglifyjs.

Library transitions are frozen.
We should generally slow down on code changes, but we should balance
that against what code we can defend to maintain in stable for several
years.
This kind of change seems reasonably for me to do: The existing code
might be buggy, or a future security release might
mend replacing CSS compressor with LESS.js: Unlike SCSS,
the LESS format is *not* a strict superset.
I do *not* recommend replacing CSS compressor with PostCSS: PostCSS can
do lots of things, raising the risk of doing some things wrong.

I.e. in previous releases of webpack a polyfill was included with
webpack, but with newer releases the user needs to decide how to handle
it. So understably confusing, but not specific to the Debian package
and not an upstream bug either but documented behavior:
