[Pkg-kde-extras] krusader override disparity

2009-11-11 Thread Archive Administrator
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

krusader_2.1.0~beta1-1_amd64.deb: package says section is kde, override says
utils.

Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the
archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell,
httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video,
xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into
these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if
the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package
at the next upload.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please file a bug against ftp.debian.org and
explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we
won't be able to deal with your request due to missing information.

Please make sure that the subject of the bug you file follows the
following format:

Subject: override: BINARY1:section/priority, [...], BINARYX:section/priority

Include the justification for the change in the body of the mail please.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you already filed a bug
and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your bug
needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until
then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.]

Tried to build your package and it fails to build with GNU binutils-gold. The
important difference is that --no-add-needed is the default behavior of of GNU

Object files in .a archives arent linked yet. This means that you have to

Your package fails to build with GCC 4.4, which has cleaned up some more
C++ headers. You always have to #include headers directly and cannot
rely for things to be included indirectly.

You can reproduce this problem with gcc-snapshot from unstable or
gcc-4.4 from experimental.

Package: k3b

On a PC with a CD writer connected via SATA, etch's k3b fails to write
CDs, at least when writing precreated ISO images. wodim aborts with
No such file or directory. This is caused by k3b calling wodim with the
device option dev=1,0,0 which apparently doesn't work with SATA burners.
Correct option would be dev=/dev/scd0.

A fix which should work on a wide variety of machines (even those with
IDE burners) is to create the file /usr/share/config/k3brc with the
following content:

[External Programs]
cdrecord user parameters=dev=/dev/cdrw

Well, it's a hack, because k3b then calls wodim like:
# wodim ... dev=1,0,0 ... dev=/dev/cdrw ...
but luckily the latter dev option takes effect. And of course this only
makes sense if there is only one CD writer in the system.

Note: the machine is not running an official Debian kernel, but
2.6.22.18. I can't rule out that this affects wodim's behaviour.

Regards,
Frank

Hi,
please port your application to the new libmpcdec API in experimental.
You find it as libmpcdec-dev / libmpcdec6 in the libmpc source package.

The API changes are fairly trivial, see [0] for a patch that does this
for the GStreamer plugin.

The API might not be 100% stable yet but there are very few changes (if
any) to be expected. I don't know if libmpc (and Musepack's stream
version 8) will be ready for lenny but when this gets uploaded to
unstable this bugs will become grave.

Thanks

[Pkg-kde-extras] Bug#536172: Debian #536172 : krusader: Erase file content if file edited after X-server restart

2009-11-11 Thread George Shuklin
Good day. Sorry for long delay.

I recheck problem and successfully repeat incorrect behavior.

Steps to reproduce problem:

Run Krusader (I use lenny with few packages from sid with default gnome
desktop).
Edit some file (f.e. ~/test.txt)
Close editor
Kill X-server (Ctrl-Alt-BkSp)
Relogin
Run Krusader again
(At this time Krusader displays following:
Can not talk to klauncher, I think, this is important)
Run editor ~/test.txt (Press F4 on file test.txt)
(Got empty editor's window and zero-sized ~/test.txt file before doing
anything within editor)

I use a default Krusader editor: I can not found an process name...

 Hello

I can't reproduce this bug with 2.0.0-1, can you please retest ?

 What I did :
   - created a test text file with kate, typed in some text and saved
   - launched krusader, and opened the file with F4
   - modified text
   - without saving, killed Xorg
   - restarted X and krusader : the file is unharmed
