Bug#562372: mediatomb-daemon: Uninstallable

2009-12-24 Thread Raúl Sánchez Siles
Package: mediatomb-daemon
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software

Hello:

After having used mediatomb successfully for some time I decided to uninstall
it. I first purged mediatomb, but then I noticed that mediatomb-common and
mediatomb-daemon were still installed so I tried to uninstall them. I saw an
error which prevented total uninstallation, but it's more easily seen with this
command:

$ LANG=C sudo aptitude purge mediatomb-daemon

Once I have this message I can't install or uninstall anything with aptitude.
I'll try to work out what's happenning and get to a forced solution where
package management works again.

Thanks,

 3) In addition to the above, I start to use git as with most other
 projects here, in that case I'll need some admin to make the initial
 setup, or push (I assume?).

 I'd also suggest to go this way. Please get an account on alioth.d.o and
 apply for the pkg-multimedia team. I (or any other admin) will add you
 as soon as possible.

Ok, there is now a fluidsynth.git available at git.debian.org. It should
be ready for releasing to unstable.
