Bug#624637: transition: libquicktime

2011-04-30 Thread Alessio Treglia
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: transition

Hi!

I've uploaded the new release of libquicktime to experimental and I'd like to
upload it to unstable too.
Although the SONAME has been bumped I think no porting is needed, so a rebuild
might be the solution for most packages affected by this:

dvgrab
gem
gmerlin
kino
mlt
pdp
smilutils
xawtv

Please let me know when I can start the transition.
Thanks in advance.

gmerlin override disparity

2011-04-30 Thread Debian FTP Masters
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

gmerlin-data_1.0.0~dfsg-5_all.deb: package says priority is optional, override
says extra.
gmerlin-doc_1.0.0~dfsg-5_all.deb: package says priority is optional, override
says extra.
gmerlin_1.0.0~dfsg-5_amd64.deb: package says priority is optional, override
says extra.
libgmerlin-dev_1.0.0~dfsg-5_amd64.deb: package says priority is optional,
override says extra.
libgmerlin-doc_1.0.0~dfsg-5_all.deb: package says priority is optional,
override says extra.
libgmerlin0_1.0.0~dfsg-5_amd64.deb: package says priority is optional, override
says extra.

Please note that a list of new sections were recently added to the
archive: cli-mono, database, debug, fonts, gnu-r, gnustep, haskell,
httpd, java, kernel, lisp, localization, ocaml, php, ruby, vcs, video,
xfce, zope. At this time a script was used to reclassify packages into
these sections. If this is the case, please only reply to this email if
the new section is inappropriate, otherwise please update your package
at the next upload.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please file a bug against ftp.debian.org and
explain why. Please INCLUDE the list of packages as seen above, or we
won't be able to deal with your request due to missing information.

Please make sure that the subject of the bug you file follows the
following format:

Subject: override: BINARY1:section/priority, [...], BINARYX:section/priority

Include the justification for the change in the body of the mail please.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you already filed a bug
and have not received a response yet, please ignore this mail. Your bug
needs to be processed by a human and will be in due course, but until
then the installer will send these automated mails; sorry.]

The following was reported to Bugtraq:
http://seclists.org/bugtraq/2011/Apr/257 (No CVE yet)

The ffmpeg commit
http://git.videolan.org/?p=ffmpeg.git;a=commit;h=89f903b3d5ec38c9c5d90fba7e626fa0eda61a32

isn't yet in libav git. Reinhard, can you pull the strings to get
it merged? (IIRC you're involved in libav)

(As for ffmpeg/squeeze and ffmpeg/lenny, I'm unsure about the status,
since there's already a pending (ticket update owned by Guiseppe))

Cheers,
Moritz

Bug#624654: Removed package(s) from unstable

2011-04-30 Thread Debian FTP Masters
We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

naspro-bridges-bad |0.2.0-2 | source, alpha, amd64, armel, hppa, hurd-i386,
i386, ia64, kfreebsd-amd64, kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc

--- Reason ---
ROM; obsolete
--

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any
mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the
earliest.

Packages are usually not removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency

* Upstream Authors:

* URL: http://tovid.org
* License: GPL v2+
* Description: tools for creating video DVDs, VCDs, and SVCDs
tovid is a set of command line and GUI tools, written in Python, for
identifying videos, converting them to the DVD, VCD, or SVCD format, and
generating DVD menus and structure. It builds atop existing tools like mplayer,
ffmpeg and dvdauthor, providing a convenient, user-friendly front-end.

I originally packaged tovid for Ubuntu, which has included it since version
8.04
(Hardy Heron). All its dependencies are in Debian main. This ITP expresses my
intent to import the package into Debian and maintain it within the Debian
Multimedia Maintainers team.

libav FTBFS on mipsel

2011-04-30 Thread Reinhard Tartler
Hi,

The recent FTBFS of libav on mips surprises me a bit:
https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=libav

it has built on mipsel just fine previously and this upload didn't
introduce changes in that area. So I wonder if there have been toolchain
changes or something in that area?

In any case, help with resolving this issue is very appreciated!

Cheers,

Bug#624666: vlc: security update breaks mp3 support

2011-04-30 Thread Adam D. Barratt
Hi,

As this regression was apparently caused by a security update, I've
added the security team to CC.

2011-04-30 Thread Weber Kévin

I get back to version 1.1.3-1squeeze2 which not depends on vlc-plugin-pulse.

If I reinstall vlc-plugin-pulse for 1.1.3-1squeeze2 , the sound becomes

So I think the bug comes from vlc-plugin-pulse.
Vlc version 1.1.3-1squeeze5 depends on this package instead of version

Btw there is a problem with dependency when I install 1.1.3-1squeeze2, I

The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal
reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments
were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the
reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is
probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the
