fixed. Current release is 4.0.1; also note that I have updated the debian
package for my own builds (clone from

Hi,
Sorry, there is a misunderstanding regarding what is working. Scaling works
fine as long as it is done after the movie starts.
If I start mplayer, and then click the 'maximise' button on the window, it
maximises just fine.
However, if I configure my window manager (kwin) to automatically
the patch :( Sorry.
I think a nicer solution would be to ask the user via debconf if the UI
should be created, but didn't want to introduce this change via an NMU.
