Package: ffmpeg Version: 7:3.4-2 Severity: important The latest ffmpeg makes sound in kodi to be scratchy, i.e. containing some additional noise that makes watching videos in kodi uncomfortable/annoying. Bug#632303: Fw: Bug#632303: audacious-plugins: enable oss4 output plugin
2011/8/15 Michel Briand michelbri...@free.fr: Hello, I'm coming back with this request. Could someone on the list (pkg-multimedia-maintainers) help ? Help me to answer Reinhard question : is oss4 available on kFreeBSD ? Thus could the oss4 output plugin be enabled for this arch too ? Please see #636631, you need at least this patch for oss4 build system to work on GNU/kFreeBSD. As for oss4-dev usability, it will certainly be useful once oss4-dkms is ported. My patch resolves the beginning of this but it doesn't enable the kernel module. It doesn't hurt to enable oss4-dev functionality for at least [linux-any kfreebsd-any] IMHO. The oss4-dev package is available for all arch. But the include file it provides is: /usr/include/linux/soundcard.h. This sounds Linux specific. linux/soundcard.h shouldn't be included directly from userland. Bug#634723: phasex: debian/control uses hardcoded list of non-Linux architectures
Package: phasex Severity: wishlist User: debian-de...@lists.debian.org Usertags: linux-any The debian/control file in phasex uses a negated list of architectures to specify a package relationship (most likely Build-Depends) on a Linux-specific package. I.e. something like: Build-Depends: libfoo-dev [!kfreebsd-i386 !kfreebsd-amd64 !hurd-i386] This is problematic because it will fail for any future kfreebsd-* or hurd-* architecture (like the upcoming kfreebsd-mipsel port). Bug#612438: libva not building on kFreeBSD (Bug #612438)
2011/2/8 Petr Salinger petr.salin...@seznam.cz: Could some kFreeBSD fan please have a look at this: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=612438 AFAIUI, the issue is that libva is unconditionally trying to build a v4l module. It would require someone to hack up the build system to stop doing so on kFreeBSD. Probably not that much work, but I'm too busy with other stuff right now. Proposed patch is in #612480. kFreeBSD 8.2 has v4l already, its header is in sys/compat/linux/linux_videodev.h Shouldn't we provide this header instead of disabling v4l? -- Robert Millan ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers

jcgui
Where can I find a Debian package of jcgui? What is the reason it takes so long until it reaches the repos? I would appreciate it very much being in Debian :) Robert Epprecht ___ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list pkg-multimedia-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
