I know I am late to party and this is not a small change, but I would appriciate if we can get following powerdevil MR merged. https://invent.kde.org/plasma/powerdevil/-/merge_requests/43 Having proper KConfigXT port and simplifying underlying configuration structure helps really with KCM for Mobile, and helps avoid some nasty bugs like various values having different units for reading/writing. (Note that there is 90 commits in MR, but is mostly because they are not squashed and everything small change is commit on its own) > > David signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Also since we are now in a soft freeze period, it would be a good idea to start collecting all the new features in a list. I created: https://invent.kde.org/websites/kde-org/-/edit/work/plasma5-22/content/announcements/plasma/5/5.22.md?from_merge_request_iid=103 Also like I said after the 5.21 announcement, I'm not really motivated to work on the Plasma 5.22 announcement and would enjoy, if someone else could lead the effort of coordinating with Promo and doing the layout and content work of the announcement. I can probably help a tiny bit but I have been doing Plasma announcements since 5.15 and I need a small pause. Cheers, Carl > > David

>Shall we go ahead with https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/merge_requests/560 or We have this freeze to give ourselves a target and make sure we don't have people merging in a whole new KCM rewrite or doing something controversial. Hard feature freeze is still at the beta. This is relatively small, so from a freeze POV, with limited consequences if it has issues. So from a soft freeze POV I have no objections. David
Re: 5.22 Soft Freeze
Shall we go ahead with https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/merge_requests/560 or postpone for 5.23? Anything else? ksystemstats (which is in your list) is new. libksysguard shouldn't be removed, but ksysguard can be. - Arjen
Re: 5.22 Soft Freeze
List of git repos I have to turn into tars for Plasma 5.22: bluedevil breeze breeze-grub breeze-gtk breeze-plymouth discover drkonqi kactivitymanagerd kde-cli-tools kde-gtk-config kdecoration kdeplasma-addons kgamma5 khotkeys kinfocenter kmenuedit kscreen kscreenlocker ksshaskpass ksysguard ksys temstats kwallet-pam kwayland-integration kwayland-server kwin kwrited {+layer-shell-qt+} libkscreen [-libksysguard-] milou oxygen plasma-browser-integration plasma-desktop plasma-disks plasma-firewall plasma-integration plasma-nano pla sma-nm plasma-pa plasma-phone-components plasma-sdk plasma-systemmonitor plasma-tests plasma-thunderbolt plasma-vault plasma-workspace plasma-workspace-wallpapers plymouth-kcm polkit-kde-agent-1 powerdevil qqc2-breeze-style sddm-kcm systemsettings xdg-desktop-portal-kde This is made from the script at https://invent.kde.org/sdk/releaseme/-/blob/master/plasma/plasma-git-repos layer-shell-qt is new and libksysguard is gone. Anything else? Jonathan
5.22 Soft Freeze
At the end of the day is the soft freeze for Plasma 5.22, with the beta out on the 13th of May. After this point we should avoid any huge refactors and big features until we split the branch. Small features and changes can still land, we just now start to be cautious so things can get an appropriate amount of testing before the beta. Also please note that we will be using the next frameworks (tagged this Saturday). Please do comment if anything is stuck in review and needs attention. David
