i suggest you take a look at virtualization and dual booting. personally i
prefer the former over the latter because you can run more than one
operating system at the same time.
don't bother dual booting edubuntu and kubuntu. simply install kubuntu...
then just download/install edubuntu specific

Since both are based from Ubuntu, just install one of the two
(preferably Kubuntu) then install packages/programs that you need from
the other.
