I first installed AlienBBC (ver 1.06) onto my SlimServer v6.51 install
on Windows XP last night, and it was working fine. Today, I had
installed another application (Rhapsody), and then subsequently
uninstalled it as it couldn't work outside of the U.S., and since then,
if I try playing a stream u
I don't think "AAC compressed" decoding is supported in the SB3 see
http://faq.slimdevices.com/index.php?action=artikel&cat=7&id=57&artlang=en
To play compressed AAC from DS-106 you will need to use either faad or
mplayer to provide server side decoding.

No big problem, one goal is anyway to minimize the size of the menu
strucuture for my wife. So I just copy the menus she'll use and filter
them for genre and include "her" SB3 - and do them in Swedish. I can do
"my" menus in English, to avoid name clashes, and I don't need to filter
since I can li

Have you tried looking in the SlimServer "Server settings" -> File

- D'oh! :D
Since there were separate translation strings in the code I thought
that this plugin was "langauge independent" from the SlimServer, e.g.
so I could run the SS with one language but the WeatherTime plugin in
another language.
I changed to swedish in SlimServer, copied the Plugin.pm
It's not as easy as the Listen again because the web navigation is not
standard.
However here are the URLs for the programs - the URL has the date. Put
them in a MyPicks list or just use Tune in.
However to play them you may need either 6.3.1 or latest version of
6.5.1 (bug in 6.5.0 handling .

You will find the language setting in Server Settings -> Language. It's
actually, the first setting you see when you enter the Server Settings
:-)
Please let me know if everything
Hi agin
Since I'm a total newbie I don't really know how to make a patch. The
attached file is the best I can do right now, I hope it works better
than the last one. Also, I have made some corrections to some of the SE
translations strings since last time.

I love In Our Time, I think its an absolute gem.
Could AlienBBC access the streams located at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/history/inourtime/inourtime_archive_home.shtml
I dare say its about as easy as accessing the "Listen Again" archive.

There is a thread about this in the "Announce XMRadio" forum... I
applied the patches as indicated
That "by player" feature sounds great, will have to try that - and
hopefully no glitches with the plugin because I'm running on 6.3.1.
I know I can edit the sql for each menu and filter (for example) on the
genre tag "wife", but is there a "global" possibility/player to filter
on a genre tag?

I just made this change to my installation of AlienBBC to enable me to
stream radio to my Nokia N80.
What is the reason for this being disabled by default? Is it to prevent
people downloading streams that are only technically allowed to be
realplayer streams for BBC copyright reasons?

Buffering may be part of the problem but AlienBBC already has a 128kbyte
buffer of RealAudio which if it was exhausted the stream would be
restarted.
Is the elapsed time displayed being reset to zero with each
interruption or does it continue ?
Does the same problem happen with Listen again pro
