Start with checking that the install is OK.
There should be 3 new files in the Addons directory called
iPlayer.opml
iPlayerParser.pm
iPlayerPlayableParser.pm
If the 3 files are present - make sure the permissions and ownership of
the files are the same as the other files in the Addons

Squeezecenter and I believe the xAP protocol has an existing plugin and

What version of Slimserver/SqueezeCenter are you running on QNAP ?
Install the Addon version for 2.0 if you are running SqueezeCenter.
Install the Addon version for 1.06 if you are running Slimserver 6.5.x
or 6.3.x

None of the slim devices PLAYERS (ie the SB3, Transporter, duet
Receiver) support plugins running

file played is the RealAudio file. I get this file whether I am using
AlienBBC iPlayer Addon or iPlayer uising Browser
