mp3 file - times show fine on controller.
This is working just fine for me :-/. Any file? Do you see any error
message in the server.log (see Settings/Status)?

I've now spent half an hour playing internet radio, local music, doing MIP
mixes etc. But it seems to be working fine all the time. I just can't
reproduce your issue. Are you using any other 3rd party plugins or
screensavers?

I run Squeezcentre as a service on a WHS box. I have Alien BBC loaded.
I also run Peerguardian as a service.
If Peerguardian is running then Alien BBC is unable to connect to BBC
Live Streams.
If I stop Peerguardian then Alien can play the streams.
I have worked out how to add IPs as allowed
I'm sure I'm just being dumb - but where in Squeezecentre 7.2.1 can I
add a URL or a station?

I'm not sure how Peerguardian works - are you sure it is IP address that
are being blocked and not port 554 ?.
IIRC the BBC used to run a number of servers according to region so the
IP address of the server that you will use can only be determined by you
by looking at the address when a BBC

Without any details of you installation (e.g OS, Sc version, AlienBBC
version) - at a guess if you are using Linux then check mplayer.sh
permissions make sure it has execute for all if the ownership of the
mplayer.sh is not the same as the userid that runs SC.

Well thats strange.
I used the command that I posted about mplayer. I eft the stream to run
for 10 minutes. Restarted squeezecenter and
BBC Radio started!!
So no more listening to Radio via my TV...

Looks like a bug in the library routine as it is supposed to return a
complete path but on your system it returns ./cmd.exe which is not a
complete path.
I need to solve the issue using different routines.

Restart SqueezeCenter and if that doesn't work perform a rescan.

server, is there a way to do timeshifting on radio programs ?
Was using that when watching TV some time ago, and I found it mighty
convenient.

SC 7.2.1 appears to have broken this new version.
Yes, I changed Max Version to 7.3+, and it was working yesterday with
7.2. Drats.
EDIT: Nevermind. I had to do an unplug of my SB, and everything
appears normal. XM50 The Loft plays fine for me.

On my brand new Boom the menu name Server Power Control doesn't fit
the screen in the Standard Narrow default font. You get to read
Server Power Co and then it scrolls.
This is not only a cosmetic problem, I believe all this scrolling
defeats menu bouncing, and often message display.
Playing with the plugin I realized the message announcing the imminent
reboot/shutdown/suspend is displayed on every player, which is really
great I think.
How about allowing to cancel a running action from any player ?

So it seems that the main difference between a playlist that works and
one that doesn't is that the tracks in a playlist that works have their
metadata 'content_type' set to wma. Whereas ones in a playlist that
don't have 'content_type' set to asx.
