Seems to be working OK on SB3.
But on SoftSqueeze, SqueezePlay, and SBC I get the message:
'Unable to play file type for:'
when playing from Listen Live (e.g. Radio2)
SC7.3 23911
SoftSqueeze 3.7
SqueezePlay 7.3 r0
SBC 7.3 r3348

- play some local or remote track = buffer is updated properly
- remove power from the SB for a few minutes (at least as long until
it's been removed from SC's active player list)
- power on the SB

Thanks. I'll give this a try.
I refuse to look out the window :)

Okay .. messed around a little more. It turns out, if I press the

returns to the original volume. So I think it's solved.
Now, if I can just figure out how to get the Powermate to

Just out of curiosity is there a perceptible lag between SharkPlay and a
regular radio?
My main interest in this plugin would be for to play it between the two
rooms which still have regular radios and the rest of the house which is
Squeezecentered.
TIA for all the hard work.

There is a small lag maybe 0.25 sec - noticeable. It is probably due to
network. On Windows it is about the same delay as when using WaveInput
plugin as SharkPlay reuses the wavin2cmd application.

I take the vaildate.pm from squeezcenter 7.2.1 and copy it into

Hmmm, I'm having a similar issue related to the validate.pm with the
SrvPowerControl plugin.
I've added it back to the Windows build. Update tomorrow and you should be fine.

Hi GHarris999
Just a quick note to thank you for developing the plug-in. It works

Listen live uses wma streams which are not natively decoded by
Softsqueeze (or SBC/Squeezeplay at present), so unless you are using
windows with Windows media player installed or have alienbbc and
mplayer installed they won't play.
Squeezebox hardware players can decode wma so should work ok.
I'm running Slimserver 6.5.4 on a Mac Mini. I added XM 57 (Grateful Dead
station) to my XM presets. I can tune to this, but there's a whole bunch
of distortion and what sounds like other stations bleeding through to
it. This is not true of other XM stations. BTW, I have the fixed XM
plugin.

V2.02 of AlienBBC uses iPlayers menus by default - there is no special
iPlayer menu - that was in v2.01 of AlienBBC.
You should be able to go into the Station menus and get a list of the
programs.
Are you based in the UK ?

I am in the UK - when I click on Alien BBC I get;
BBC Live Streams
Radio 1
Radio 2
Radio 2 A-Z
Radio 3

If I click on Radio 3 I get just Live Streams. I can not find, on any
of the other options, any reference to the Radio 3 I-player

There is a search A-Z lists and a
The A-Z and Listen again were the old BBC facility which some regiobnal

If youy are not getting any programs then either
1. There is an installation problem
2. There is a problem with network communications.
Since you are in the UK you would be better off

I need to load, or to the actual iplayer itself? I use my SB remotely

From what I recall the new IP address/servername that you entered was

Uninstalling it and reinstalling deletes the preferences so the new one

The fixcook patch was submnitted on the mplayer lists about March 2007
so the base code you should choose would be April/May 2007. Once you
get a good build then you can move into a later version if you wish
once you know the correect build options.
Below is the original thread I posted.
In that thread I also offered this advice
Build the modified mplayer with fixed point code on a PC and test on
your target URLs. Only when it works properly do you try to port to ARM
as you will be sure any subsequent problem are only due to port.
Building mplayer on a Linux PC will be
OK, now I'm totally confused
So this has never worked??
Could've sworn it was - although I may have been listening to the

So what are all the wmadec entries for in File Types - will they not
convert wma streams or are they for something different?

Heh. I *just* added calls to Validate.pm in this last posted version.
Thanks for spotting this and bringing it to Michael's attention.

didn't. I'm using the isTime() function to validate the data going into
