It's difficult :) "Properly configured" is not digital. There is a basic
requirement, which is to have lame installed. You can see that in the
web interface under "Settings->Player->General->Bitrate
Limiting".
But besides that, whether it will actually limit the bitrate also

AFAIK yes. Their "smart radio" offering is for free. It allows you to
enter an artist, and it would play a matching mix, similar to Pandora. And
the SmartMix plugin :-). You still need a Deezer account, though.

Many thanks for a truly excellent plugin. Been using it for a couple of
weeks now and it really has added an additional dimension to how I use
my Squeezebox and Boom. So much so that I've just ordered a Radio from
Amazon while I still can.

Dynamic Playlist plugin to play playlists. The only thing that didn't
