I have an idea to help you investigate. I'll do a version that sends the same file, say coverart.jpg expected to be in the current directory. You then can try so copy file of different sizes and resolution and name then coverart.jpg and see if some pattern emerges. Can be a lot of try and errors

It would be difficult to get the cover art directly from Spotify because it's https. It's possible but I'll need to establish the ssl connection ... I'm doing that in my chromecast bridge but that a pain that I don't believe is worth trying because LMS gets it correctly, the problem is somewhere

Just tested with R2 on a Touch and compared with WebUI. Track detail was shown "She Got The Garden by Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott" on both Touch and WebUI and also was displayed regardless whether "Always display station icon" was ticked or unticked, When "Always display station icon" was ticked

Thanks for your testing anyway! I indeed got it working on my ReadyNAS Duo v2 with 256MB RAM... Don't know how reliable it would work (I'll stick with the Pi3 - it's much faster!). It pegged the CPU for several seconds after starting playback. And it obviously is using some swap space. But hey,
