Thanks. Figured it out on my own. The device couldn't be seen in -scanbus, but could still be accessed via the plugin. Anyway, found that custom-convert.conf needed this: -I cooked_ioctl >From the command line, it was creating silent wavs. This resolved that. Hope this helps someone else.
