I cleared the cache and found the third party repositories.
Thanks Michael!

I have tried everything and can't find it. I updated to the lastest LMS
thinking that would bring it back and no such luck.
I would hate having to do a fresh install but that is what it might
take.

Where did Spotty go?
I have been having trouble with Spotty retrieving my playlists. And I
found that reinstalling fixes the problem.
So this morning I tried that but now I can't find it in the list of
inactive plugins and the list of third party plugins isn't there.
I have update LMS and
Hi Peeter
It is definitely a networking problem. My provider wasn't providing the
full upload bandwidth but was providing the full download speed. It took
me 2-3 days to figure it out.
You definitely have a network problem but whether it is this I don't
know.

Hi Alexander
I am definitely not an expert but will mention that it took me awhile
to figure out that my Spotify worked better with lower audio settings.
Initially I used 320 kbps and had similar symptoms to what you
describe then I lowered it to 160 & all good.

Hi Michael
Yes it was a networking issue. The provider was giving me full
download speeds but the upload was so restricted LMS was unable to
retrieve the play list. Once they fixed the upload speed everything was
fine.
Took me a couple of days to figure it out. Thanks for looking and
I am unable to retrieve my play list or access any stream from Spotify.
I have done a fresh install of everything but I get the same result.
I am able to install Spotty but when I try to access my play list it
locks up LMS and can't retrieve anything. Any suggestions would be
appreciated I
Hi Greg,
Late to the party and thanks! Just downloaded and so far it works
great! If you figure out a way for donations or charges I would be glad
to contribute.

Spotify didn't send me no email. But it took me all of 2 minutes to
install Michael's new plugin & life is good. I knew there was a reason
to run the same LMS platform as He does:cool: I have only been listening
for about twenty minutes and no problems I almost always use the Web Gui

Hi mrMuppet
The only thing I could suggest would be a fresh install of LMS if that
is not to painful. I am a little confused as to whether you have ever
successfully installed Spotify before this problem. To be courteous to
the Original Poster I recommend you start a new thread rather than high
Typically problems with Spotify are firewall problems. I have
reinstalled LMS to try to repair problems but I have never used this
plug-in (family account) except as a single user so I am unaware of any
problems from that. Which version of LMS are you using and more
information on your NAS might
when the helper app doesn't start I can fix it by reinstalling the
plugin. It should be port 9005 by default.

Hi Henrico
You might read the other thread but it seems Spotify is losing
interest in supporting Squeezebox. No the official app doesn't handle
multiple accounts so you just have to suffer:(
I recently was able to install Google Music which was good but I
prefer Spotify, then there's Tidal...
I tried the regular Spotify plugin & the Protocol Handler and it loads
faster.

just have to change the one letter in the code.

Perhaps Giza2020 you might be able to help understand why I get no sound
from Google Music. I installed the app from Max2Play and was able to log
in to my account from the advance settings. I see the app and when I
use it I get LMS saying I am playing it but no sound I can see the song
I just bought a PI 3 & an Hifiberry Digi + Pro and was able to install
and do upgrades without purchasing an activation code. But as Giza2020
pointed out it really is nice & I hope they continue developing it. I am
also impressed with the sound card a fair improvement over my Duet I was
running
Thanks Mike!
I had to uninstall Triode's app install the handler & then reinstall
Triode's app but all is good now. I didn't have to log back in your app
found my user name and password.
I notice when I run the test it doesn't load meta data or stream but
that's what the Logitech app is for.
It made me think of restarting my server, duh. All is well! for now...
