am doing wrong.
The way I get around the surprise standby is in Server Power Control
settings, untick 'Idle Player Monitor' and tick 'End of Day' and set
the End-of-day start time to a time that you will have stopped work and
be playing music.

I vaguely remember that there was quite a bit of discussion about Umlaut
(e.g. Björk or Hüsker Dü ) in artists and track names in the MIP
forums.

are 27 directories of music (why so many? Because each
directory refers to the physical location of the CDs and also keeps MP3
and FLAC separate) In G:\Classical are 3 directories.
All I can suggest is try deleting and re-creating your shortcuts and
re-scan.

only selected song, then from one track, away it goes.

and lazyfication process are complete and on restart in the
morning lazy search will work.
You could start a scan and then put the server into hibernation. Then
the whole scan and lazyfication will complete once the system awakes.

Take scpowertools.exe from the scpowertools folder and put that in
c:windows.
That's what I did and it works, also has a nice little icon!

The rest of the contents of the scpowertools folder are for developers,
there is source code, command line instructions etc. I left it in my
downloads folder but it could be deleted.

shown that all the plugins (Server Power Control, MIP, Spicefly
Sugarcube and Lazy Search) will work from a fresh install rather than
an upgrade.

setup), SC displays the Hibernate message, requiring a series of back
and up/down etc commands to get SC playing again.

then using the remote, in E
Extras, it is 13 of 15.
Edit - I have not enabled Hibernate, so the Hibernate option sends the
server to Sleep instead.

I have MusicIP running as a service and it was also running as an
application.
MusicIP has 13,017 songs, SlimServer finds 11,943. Don't ask me to
reconcile the two difference.
I will try rescanning with MusicIP as a service only.
