My current video player is a 2019 Nvidia Shield, but prior to that I
used LibreELEC on a pi 1 model B Rev2. This was an amazing, highly
optimized player for its time. It supported raw blu-ray rips and was
able to decode TrueHD and DTS-HD audio to PCM. The only thing it was
missing in that

A quick
i686 is still 32 bit. Your server would need to be really old to be
pre-i686.

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy a remote and IR receiver? You can get
one
compatible with XBMC for under $40 (I use a streamzap).
Otherwise you may end up with a brittle chain that breaks on each
major
upgrade to squeezeboxserver.

Yes, I finally decided to move from home to proper web hosting so there
should be no problems with non-standand ports any more.

Thanks for that. I didn't know there was a repo page. I had already
updated
the 3rd party plugins pages.

was able to use it normally using a SoftSqueeze player.
I'd try installing another plugin, if that one doesn't work either,
it's
almost definitely a problem in your squeezecenter install or the way
you
are installing the plugins. That's about all the advice I can offer
right
now.

I did my tests with the 32 bit version of OpenSUSE, but I can't imagine
that this is a 64 bit issue.

PowerSave 7.x works fine with SqueezeCenter 7. Download the latest
version
(7.0r1) if you need to use it with a Receiver.

I'm not sure - your best bet is to copy the section for your working
transporter and change the MAC address to the duet. Remove all the
other
bits of the file. It's probably not a bad idea to restart
SqueezeCenter
after editing the file.

jth
There's no controller support for PowerSave (yet), you can only change
the settings through the player menus. Both a web interface and
controller
interface are planned for the future though.

It should be working ... a lot of firewalls at the workplace seem
to block the non-standard web port (31888). If you have trouble I
would try from home, or send me a message with your email address
via the forum and I'll send you a copy.

Weathertime works fine on SLIMP3 and SB1 players. Because of screen

the Squeezebox would get turned
off in regular use.
I'm away for a few days - but would happily look at doing this one
return and would pass it back to you (jth) for review/inclusion.
I'm happy to look at any code diffs for inclusion into the
plugin, but I'm still unsure what this new option
Powersave isn't going to be able to do what you want, there's no volume
ramping down.
The sleep function already ramps the volume down over a short period,
sounds like you need a plugin replacement for that function over a long
period.
