Fully Kiosk can be configured to start on boot, see Settings / Device
Management / Launch on Boot. The issue of course is

Must admit I have not yet played enough to really know - but they seem
pretty similar to me. Kiwi seems to launch about 0.5-1 second faster. I
have noticed that

Not something I ever use. But perhaps Material could show these in an
iframe - this would work-around this, and look more integrated.

For me, the Material notifications and lock screen dont work. But, this
is not required - as the whole of Material shows aboce the lock screen.
So, I could interact with Material,

Hi Waldo,
The Material skin is advancing rapidly with the version in development -
v1.4, will contain a black theme, and a color selection tool for
widgets. The new black theme with the new screensaver feature looks
great on a display that is to be left on permanently.
I am looking around for

Hi Waldo,
The material skin will include a screensaver feature in it's next
release, v1.4. It is available now for testing.
See the thread 'Announce: Material Skin'
Additionally, thanks to your suggestion,

My intention was not to hijack any thread. The application was
mentioned in this thread as to something I've been trying to do.
Opening new thread as previous one was hijacked.
Goal: control squeezebox player (Raspberry Pi running server and player)
from an android tablet (a cheap Amazon Fire 8HD from Black Friday) and
have the same display experience as it is with a SB Touch
- show the SB Now Playing (or whatever)

Hi tdehan,
please don't hijack threads. I was about to update this one and now will
have to create a new one so that contents make sense :(

when you open the app it should try to connect to your LMS.
Make sure lms is running
You may see a screen with LMS showing, tap and connect.
if you get a connection error message tap the three vertical dots on the
top right hand side

You need to specify your LMS server in Orange Squeeze's settings
somewhere (I don't have it at hand) so that it's able to connect.
I purchased and downloaded Orange Squeeze. How do you get this to
work? No instructions.

Thanks Edwin.
To enable screen always on I think there is some developer setting that
can be used, as well as some

Hi,
I'm intending to use an Android tablet to control my squeezebox player
but I would like it to act like my SB Touch used to do:
1.- display cover-title-etc when playing music and keep screen awake
2.- display a clock screensaver after a certain time without playing
music (and keep screen
