Which OS are you on ? And is it 32-bit or 64-bit ?
It could be that the dll needs the VS2010 SP1 runtime installing,
which would be a pain..
Indeed: the installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1
Redistributable Package (x86) solved the problem immediately and the
scan ran without any issue.

Ditto on the VS2010 runtime - once I'd removed existing thumbs folder
and moo file and run Moose again, it re-created the thumbs folder and
scanned correctly (and speedily!)

It seems as if moose uses much more CPU resources now. I will keep using
v 0.74 on my older Pentium M Notebook since the cover chooser of 0.75a
is extremely slow on this machine.
