fyi, I just got an email back from the author of the Dynamic Transitions
plugin, and he confirmed that he is planning to update the plugin for
SC7, and expects to have some time soon to learn the new plugin API and
write the updated plugin.

I've tried it myself but was miles away from a real solution. So what's
left is a simple hack which at least helps me surviving the time until
someone (James?) does it right :-)

I'm came to the forum this morning with this very question in mind. This
seems like it should be an option in the new version. I wonder why this
obviously desirable feature isn't offered. Now that I'm playing with
SC7 I have to go and shut off crossfade if I'm listening to a live
album or field

With SS 6.x I really liked the Dynamic Transitions plugin
(http://www.sutula.us/james/slimserver/), which does crossfade if one
is playing a mix of tracks from multiple albums (eg, random mix), but
no crossfade when playing consecutive tracks from a given album. I've
