They're practically giving that stuff away... ;);)
A DEQ2496 will be here in a few days to play with,
and I'll put it in my TPs effects loop via TOSlink. Sean
has suggested in the past to avoid AES/EBU connection although
I do have appropriate cables to allow that as well.
Its worth a shot
Hey Curt,
For about $500 you could try one of 'THESE'
(http://www.krksys.com/ergo/intro.php) or for a measly $3000 more one of
'THESE...'
Still under $5k :)

Thanks Toby...I'll take a look at the DRC mailing list.
As for the attentuation issue, it really seems to only manifest itself
as a problem when DRC is active. As stated earlier, this then requires
me to reduce the gain in the Inguz config files to -21 or -22 just to
miminize (not eliminate)
Thanks Richard.
I took a look at the Acourate website, and they do have a 30 day trial
of a limited version of their system. The normal version still
carries the $500 price tag from what I gather.
Couldn't hurt the try the free one...if/when I can work up the courage
to take on another piece
Just FYI,
I believe the the Acourate room measurement pieces are now open
source/free. His technology is pretty neat, I understand. I used the
Inguz programs to make my correction filters, that work great. I did
think I'd try out making some filters via Acourate, but I haven't
started to figure
Audyssey offers several affordable products that will do DRC, but most
of their products are targeted at the home theater market instead of the
audiophile niche using Inguz. That being said, the subwoofer management
device they produced for SVS is getting great reviews from some
audiophiles.
Thank you for the inputs. I've read a bit about the Audyssey system,
and it seems that it is only offered through professional installers.
Given that I can't even get the repairman to fix the leak in my wash
machine, it's only fair to say that I'm a bit gun shy regarding
professionals. ;)

Maybe I'm not in the right forum for this, but I'll try anyway!
I've spent the last several weeks experimenting with the Inguz DRC
for room correction. (Many thanks to member Merlinwerks for his
guidance, and endless patience!!) Nonetheless, I was completely
unsatisfied with the results

I can't help with the other issues, but does proxied streaming solve
this one? In Settings/Player/Audio.

Thanks for the reply. No, I have not tried Proxied Streaming on my TS
set up. In all honesty...I don't even know what that does.
It'd be nice to at least have my Inguz working on streaming audio.
That experiment will have to wait several days, as I'm on the opposite
side of the
