I am using iPengHD to play MOG files... and the artwork displayed on my
iPad is amazingly clear!
IMHO this is one very good reason to select iPengHD, especially if you
use your iPad to display your current selection (I use an iPod Touch
with iPeng as a controller for both MOG and my own library

Yep. In the end it comes down to priorities.
SqueezePad has more similarity to your Squeezebox UI and therefore
might be quicker to understand and less confusing if you switch back
and forth
My point was that you simply must try it takes weeks to form an opinion
, no one can answer this for you .
If one of the apps where truly the better one of these guys would have
gone out off business by now .
if the Xyoligic site is correct

@Mnyb: these are certainly not sales and also not installations.
It may be downloads including all updates which would tell you pretty
much nothing.

I feared that this was the answer .
Do you know any better statistic aggregator for phone apps, the
interesting number

Wow - according to these numbers I'd have earned half a million by
now.
Let me assure you that if that'd have been the case, I wouldn't have a
daytime job anymore ;)

There would probably be no room for such companies if the market's
provided stats mandatory and by default .
So there's obviously a need for such stats and some companies provides
them at this quality level error margin of 2% or something urgh :-/

How would that be collected?
At least iPeng doesn't phone home.

OK, I looked again.
I believe it's OK for iPeng for iPad if you include updates.
For iPeng for iPhone it's too low if you include updates, but I don't
know when they started tracking,
Yup and many apps updates quite frequently and some users have them on
more than one device

I'll weigh in that the Squeebox app is closest to the Apple remote.app
for us, Squeezepad is our absolute favorite, and iPeng, while
wonderful, is too complex for us.
Or at least for me. :)

Is SqueezePad still landscape-only? That is the main reason I have not
tried it.

Yes landscape only, but that UI would be awkward in portrait .
Speaking of portrait , iPeng yes it works very nice in portrait to :)
Never tried it just did not feel natural for a remote
I use iPeng a lot while reading on my iPad and I usually lock rotation
to portrait when reading. So need the control app to go both ways. :-)

Morning guys, after many months of deliberation I have finally got me an
ipad. I would love to control my squeezebox now with it and have read
about a couple of apps for doing this. Could you recommend the best app
for me please, Really most of the time I just browse to my music folders
rather
Fyi I've never been able to decide :) therefore I have all 3 of them .
Logitechs own oficial app is free , but not as good as the other apps
but maybe you wont care for the album cover layouts of the other apps
when using music folder so much.
then we have iPeng or SqueezePad I actually really
Just to underline what Mnyb said two typical recent comments from the
AppStore (of users that have used both Apps).
If you read through the comments of all countries, you will find even
more of it.
In the end it boils down to taste and this is to be expected from Apps,
that worldwide get 5star
