Interesting read and while my MIP and sugarcube (3.50) are working fine

When I first setup MIP a couple of months
I run the server and the GUI on different machines So I set the GUI

Duh.
The MIP servers (defunct) seems to really downprioritize any
masstagging operation.
Uding the Windows aplication to analyze one album is fast enough so

This explains why users that set up mip way back can still use it now,

You stop the mmserver and find and delete the default.m3lib file, not
that neat.

MIP is not utf-8 compatible the fingerprinting skips all files with non

Q7 . It mixes ! it's alive ! I got quite a lot of mixable tracks

Q8 I got a severe performance problem
The server locks up for 14 seconds everytime SugarCube mixes :-/ why ?

Performance is actually tied to the Mix size parameter in the
MIPserver .
it seems to be a threshold effect . the default 20 just stalls the
whole machine .
Experimenting with values between 4-6 A value of 2 works splendidly .
Is it such a cpu hog ?

In MIP terms a Mixable Track is one that has been analyzed even if the

I think MIP first matches your tracks against a database, then the
analysis does something deeper which improves the acoustic matching.
That could be why you have mixable tracks that have not been
fingerprinted yet. Really don't understand all that it does, but this
is what sticks in my mind.
