If you look in the server log there should be more information on why
the update is going wrong.
I can't do anything about LastFM playing you music you don't like!

I have been having this problem off and on since installing the LastFM
plugin a few weeks ago. Now .. the problem is permanently stuck in the
ON state. Every time I try to tune to any of the similar artists
that I have added, it always gives me error sending update .. message
and then tunes to
The streaming service seems to be fine at the moment (through the
last.fm player at least), so I suspect that the channel changing
problem must be related to protocol changes.

Unfortunately LastFM's own player no longer uses the same streaming
service as the Squeezebox plugin.
I was going to take a look at this last night but I couldn't even get
the radio to start streaming!
