Hi Philippe, Great explanation on what the bridge is actually doing. And it very well aligns with what I experienced. I too expect that it is the connection to Tidal that is timed out. Probably more to be demystified on the Tidal to squeeselite interface, in order to fully understand the problem. Does anyone have a copy of the source for Peter Watkin's great Sync Options plugin sitting on their server? The link in the slimdevices wiki points to a 404 these days. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
One of my squeezeboxes packed in the other day, so rather than acquire a 2nd-hand replacement on ebay I thought I'd look into contemporary hardware options, so I bought a CCA and have successfully got it working with Castbridge. I'm very impressed! With apologies if it's been addressed elsewhere, my system seems to take ages (several minutes) for LMS to discover the CCA after starting the bridge. Is this normal, or are there settings I can use to speed things up? Once the CCA has been discovered it shows up continuously on LMS, but if I stop-start the bridge the rediscovery process again takes ages. majones's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13029 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104614 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.5.2 beta test
1.5.2 running without issue from the office (poor internet connection) through squeezelite on a Win7 laptop. One thing I've noticed is that the metadata stops updating/changing after an hour or so. Not really a problem and I'd also noticed it in previous versions, but as the stream consistency has been improved and now doesn't require a 'restart' the quirk is more noticeable. Purely for academic reasons, I can't see how you select the alternative menu for live streams using Limelight CDN in the settings? Many thanks. If you don't have many messages in the log about long packet response times and your system/LAN isn't stressed by many TCP connections per sec needed to stream - then there is no reason but I would expect all users to eventually migrate. However if BBC changes their site - updates will only be applied to latest version of the plugin i.e. 1.5.2 or later. The BBCiPlayerExtra 1.9.5 works with 1.4.7 and later. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106409 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Content missing is more "interesting". I don't believe 1.5.x would change things. The packets sent by BBC have URLS which are in sequence and so "gaps" will be gaps as sent by BBC. If the stream is actually stopped and restarted then gaps can also happen perhaps if you have "repeat" on. There is the other possiblity that BBC was having problem in encoding and use gaps to ensure network broadcast stream was still in sync witl live stream. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
