Thanks for the information.
I can confirm that my LMS re-encodes Vorbis to FLAC with sox when
sending it to an Airplay device.

Any ideas, please?

Thank you, it works a charm.
I have installed the xml file in the past (not least when all of the
DASH issues arose) but had not recorded that I needed to do it again for
any reinstallation.
Thank you.

Hello,
Just a message to warn that somehow, squeezelite 1.8.4 sometimes takes
100% of CPU. I struggled with a Raspberry RPI3 + pitft + squeezelite +
jivelite that was hanging sometimes at boot. I changed and recompiled
everything until I found out that the problem disappeared when I

Hi all
I have been using version 7.9.1-1492077569 for quite some time now and I
had no problem with triode's spotify.
I am setting up a new pc now and the version I find to download is
7.9.1- 1513951369 in which I can no longer find triode's spotify in the
third party apps?
Have you encountered

1.8.4 is well over a year and a half old. Although I think the bug you
are referring to was only recently fixed. It was very device dependent,
most never even saw the bug.

Thanks for the rapid response. Your questions make me wonder whether I
have bungled the LMS installation, somehow. Answers as follows:
Any BBC plugin related message in the log file?

Remove all old Spotify
V1.3.1alpha3 of the BBCiPlayer plugin is years out of date and is not
the subject of this thread.
The first page of the thread summarises the situation.
There is another thread tells you how to patch the 1.3 version into sort
of working order if you really need to run the 1.3 version of the

Yes, iPeng needs an update because it has transparent icons. I'll use
that same one in the next release, though.

I have tested it with Volume set to 72 and it couldn't unmute again.
Mute and TRIGGER match was very successful. Debug is like this:

Yeah I feared that. I don't follow 100% myself, e.g. controlling via
iPeng vs. web interface seem to give different results...
I'll tighten my scenarios and post again if I can reproduce reliably
what I've seen.
Thanks again.

This is how it will look in iPeng.

BTW: another thing I found: the Group player (but not the individual
ones) seems to forget the current playlist between server restarts

Just updated from 1.1 to 1.9.xx: With reading the first page of this
thread I was fine (needed to reboot LMS and the Squeezeboxes). The
direct connect from the desktop app did not work. However, the username
/ device password combination did it. You can request this on your
Spotify account site
Hmmm, something seems wrong at my end. Probably something I've not done
correctly or misunderstood ;)

But it is the version you get with the default repos on a fresh LMS
install. I have been suggesting for a year or two that this is a bad
situation.
