Just updated from 1.1 to 1.9.xx: With reading the first page of this thread I was fine (needed to reboot LMS and the Squeezeboxes). The direct connect from the desktop app did not work. However, the username / device password combination did it. You can request this on your Spotify account site (you get a mail and get to set your device password). Really a big step forward - works like a charm from the desktop Spotify app as well.
