Like ceejay, I can't get song scanner to work on SoftSqueeze either, and
I would really like it to work.
I'm using the latest 6.2.1 build of Slimserver on Windows XP, and
SoftSqueeze 2.3.
All my files are encoded in FLAC and as far as I can tell are not
transcoded when played. I get the same

I am not sure what you mean!
It's a cross-platform replacement for the iTunesUpdateWin.pl script,
not
part of the plugin as such.
It would only be of interest if you're an OSX iTunes user running your
SlimServer on a different machine...

I'm on windows in a corporate network so there could be problems to
tunnel port 445 and 139(?).
The idea of tunneling in this case is to pipe data, that is blocked
otherwise, through the pinhole that is allowed. If you can connect to a
ssh server outside your office, you can tunnel almost
But I can only tunnel ports that is not on my local computer?
For example, if I have a local slimserver running I can't connect to
antother slimserver using SSH.

Help translate SlimServer by using the
StringEditor Plugin
For example, if I have a local slimserver running I can't connect to
antother slimserver using SSH.
Oh, and you can always map port x to port y: map local port 88 to remote
port 80 if you already have a web server running on your local machine.

I've just recently installed the Audioscrobbler and LastFM plugins and
seem to have hit a wall.
I have used the Audioscrobbler submit function and have Slim Server
all set up with my LastFM login and password information.
When I press play on the LastFM station under internet radio it has a
Always worth checking that LastFM is actually running ... on the same

apparently). A couple of people did report that doing this once seemed
to be necessary before they could get the plugin working, though James

Which version of the LastFM plugin are you running ?
To set up some stations, you need to go to the Slimserver WebInterface
and select Internet Radio.
Add your LastFM account details and password there in the LastFM box if
you haven't already got them from slimscrobbler(which I see you have).
