Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: SqueezeScrobbler 1.0 for SqueezeCenter 7.0

2008-03-01 Thread James

You need to re-enable the Last.FM AudioScrobbler plugin,
and then change its option:
'Submit (scrobble) all tracks played to Last.fm'
to
'No, do not report'

(this is what SqueezeScrobbler is checking, not whether the plugin is
disabled)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Can't play/add single tracks in CustomBrowse

2008-03-01 Thread chill

Erland

Many thanks - 'straight from the horse's mouth', as the phrase rather
strangely puts it!

That's solved it for me, of course. I hadn't realised that each menu
shown after step 2 was a link that brought up further options.

Your excellent work with all your plugins clearly keeps you busy, but
I'd like to just add my support for the suggestion to make the play
all songs option follow the standard setting.

Thanks again
Chris

Try Erlands plugins from http://erland.homeip.net/download/. You will need
DynamicPlaylist, but get them all!

[SlimDevices: Plugins] SlimNAS + FreeNAS + .... another NAS

2008-03-01 Thread RiccardoR

I hope I will explain clearly my problem:

I have installed SlimNAS with freeNAS on a Compaq EVO e-pc, a single
IDE Hard disk computer (the next step is to use a IDE Compact flash to
get a super silent pc). No one problem!!! The Squeezecenter is working
fine, but...

I don't succeed to join the music directory that is now on a (stupid)
NAS on my network, so the rescan give 0 song. I try to use the command
mount or ln but without any results.

There is someone that can help me with a step by step guide? I know
something of the Windows world but very less of Linux.

Thanks, Riccardo

P.S. I've already searched in this forum and also on the internet but
with no results.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Problem with squeezeslave

2008-03-01 Thread Dominique

sandos;273546 Wrote:
I should add that I am:

 1) streaming over a ssh tunnel

Are you able to remove this from the equation while we're looking for
the problem? Maybe there is some timeout involved (assuming you are
streaming over some slow/not-totally reliable connection).

 2) It only skips when I click next in the webinterface. When changing
song by itself it is fine. It also never skips in the middle a of a
song, but only when trying to advance to the next one - then it plays a
small small piece of that, then skips to the next song.

The only annoyance I see on my side is that sometimes, when I start a
new song while another is playing, the new song gets selected, but is
in stopped mode.

I'd still like to know what happens if you try server-side decoding.
pcm decoding in squeezeslave is not using any stateful decoding library
and is therefore more robust. This could be called hiding the problem,
but it's worth trying (unless your network bandwidth won't tolerate
that well, of course).

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Alien BBC

2008-03-01 Thread bpa

What player are you using ? If is using stream.mp3 - then AlienBBC does
not work with stream.mp3.

If you are using a Squeezebox, Transport or Softsqueeze, the obvious
answer would be some sort of configuration issues.

I hope when you installed AlienBBC that you downloaded both AlienBBC
and SC7 around the same time. If it is an old SC7 download there were
some SC7 changes which necessitated AlienBBC beta5 - if you are running
an old SC7 this could be the issue.

otherwise

1. Check that WAV and Flac RTSP entries in Setting/Advanced/Filetypes
are enabled and MP3 should be enabled if you have Lame installed.

2. Get a log with the following logging settings set to Info
os.paths
player.source
player.streaming.remote
plugins.alienbbc

I'm running softraid so the disk's are formated with that and the
mountpoint with UFS as the FreeNAS documentation states.
