[SlimDevices: Plugins] Stop Play working at Genre / Folder level
I have a problem with users of my system using the play button on the Controller like a right arrow to move through the menus when they should use the center button. This means that they can accidentally attempt to play a whole genre! As I cannot be bothered with complex sub-genres, I have most popular music listed under a single folder/genre Pop and Rock. Unfortunately this means that when somebody makes this mistake they end up accidentally creating a playlist with 3,000+ items on it! This brings my server to a grinding halt. Inevitably this means crashing the NAS deliberately - and even then it can take up to half hour to respond to the web browser sufficiently to let me delete the playlist, and the Controller stops working completely. Is there any way to block the play button from working except at the artist, album or playlist level? Alternatively is there a quicker way of deleting the rogue playlist rather than waiting for the servier to build it before deleting it? I can telnet into the NAS to delete or alter files if necessary. Going to the URL directly seems to work fine on a real browser, so maybe weather.com changed the format so that parsing is broken in SDT. -- mbonsack mbonsack's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1398 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73222 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Information Screen (a configurable screen saver)
ok... now the playscreen is displayed. 1. But i don't know how to get the Songnames with rating in there. 2. And another problem occured: Now the album-cover-mode in Information-Screen-plugin doesn't work any more. I allways get just a background-screen. Tried uninstalling and deleting the info-screen-plugin-dir in installed plugins and the files in the Screen configuration directory ... but it still doesn't show any album-cover in the Informations-screen-plugin. Don't know why, but the Screen configuration directory and the Screen templates directory are filled in directly after the new installtion. Perhaps i forget to delete some config file somewhere. All I use SDT for is current conditions -- temp, feels like temp, and condition icon. All that info is available in XML from Yahoo (though only updated hourly), but SDT has worked so well that I haven't bothered trying to write a simpler alternative (WeatherTime's 3-line layout looks far too complex). -- peterw http://www.tux.org/~peterw/ Free plugins: 'AllQuiet' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/AllQuiet.html) 'Auto Dim/AutoDisplay' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/AutoDisplay.html) 'BlankSaver' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/BlankSaver.html) 'ContextMenu' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/ContextMenu.html) 'DenonSerial' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/DenonSerial.html) 'FuzzyTime' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/FuzzyTime.html) 'KidsPlay' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/KidsPlay.html) 'KitchenTimer' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/KitchenTimer.html) 'PlayLog' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/PlayLog.html) 'PowerCenter/BottleRocket' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/PowerCenter.html) 'SaverSwitcher' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/SaverSwitcher.html) 'SettingsManager' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/SettingsManager.html) 'SleepFade' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/SleepFade.html) 'StatusFirst' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/StatusFirst.html) 'SyncOptions' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/SyncOptions.html) 'VolumeLock' (http://www.tux.org/~peterw/slim/VolumeLock.html) peterw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2107 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=73222 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
