Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Squeeze Remote for Windows Phone 7

2011-05-25 Thread hendrikmd

Hi,

one feature I love an my wifes Android phone using Squeeze Commander is
the dowload feature for offline listening (aka using the phone as mp3
player).

Will it be possible to implement something like that?

I know that the security model of wp7 is different, meaning that you do
not have a shared filesystem. But I read that the multimedia
functionality can be used from any app, so it should be possible
somehow.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Spotify Premium Plugin (Beta)

2011-05-25 Thread VirusKiller

New version of libspotify: no mention of normalization fix...
libspotify release notes Wrote:
 Version 0.0.8

   SPOTIFY_API_VERSION is bumped to 8.

   Added support for offline mode.
Users of libspotify can now request playlists to be offline
synchronized just as Spotify's desktop and mobile applications.
For example of how to do this, please see cmd_playlist_offline()
in playlist.c in the spshell example.

Added sp_playlistcontainer_is_loaded() which can be used to
check if a playlistcontainer is loaded. This value will be true
after the container_loaded() callback is invoked.

Added support for spotify:image: linktype. If your application
needs an abstract way to refer to coverarts, artist portraits, etc
this is what you should use.

Add sp_session_user_country() that returns the currently logged in
users registered country. This is the country that should be used
to get toplists localized for the user.

bugfix: LocalTrack URI handling (sp_link) was broken. This has now
   been fixed

bufix: libspotify was unable to link on 10.4 and 10.5. This has
   now been fixed

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezeslave set up for numpties?

2011-05-25 Thread iemslie

As per title I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of
some simple set up instructions for using squeezeslave. I've done the
'easy' bits - installed along with Moose and streaming from SBS, but
now want to change the audio output from my PC soundcard to an external
DAC (I want the music playing through the DAC, but system sounds through
the PC soundcard). The wiki states this:-

-o, --output device_idSets the output device id.
The default id is 0.
The output device ids can be found with
-L.

But I haven't got a damn clue what that means and what to do.
Sorry if this stuff is covered elsewhere. I've searched as well as I
can, not knowing exactly what to search for.
Any help much appreciated :)

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Squeezeslave set up for numpties?

2011-05-25 Thread JJZolx

It means run Squeezeslave from a command prompt with the -L command line
parameter and it should then show you all of the audio devices that it
recognizes.

C:\squeezeslave -L

Then change your Squeezeslave startup command to use the desired device
number. If you don't see your external DAC list with -L, I'm not sure
what you can do.
