Here is the picture. This is located in my artistpic\ folder. If I
delete this picture, it will be downloaded and placed to artistpic
folder during next clear and rescan. If I exceute clear and rescan again
then scanning will fail. I have copied this same picture to the album
folder and renamed it as artist.jpg, but it seems that MAI totally
ignore it.

Oh URL isn't always a remote resource, but can be a local file path.
If it's using above exact file name, then yes, I might understand where
it's failing.

If you renamed the file to Antonin Dvorak.jpg (without any accents
etc.), would the plugin not find it?

I have tried that many times, but then plugin won't find it and will
download a new picture (with special chars).

However I decided to try it once more and this time scanning suddenly
succeeded: no scanning failure and no new picture downloaded and picture
is shown correctly. I then removed the picture and clear rescanned and
again: no scannng failure nor new picture + picture is shown correctly.
So suddenly, it seems, MAI found the artist.jpg from album folder.

Is it possible that some kind of buffering could cause this kind of
problem? Is there some buffer/cache which I should/could clear in some
other way than just clear rescan?

Is it possible that the problem comes from having the artist listed with
accents, which then causes the plugin to find an artist image with
accents?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: BBCiPlayer Plugin (UK only)

2014-10-09 Thread Wigster

Hi,

I seem to have lost the ability to listen to iPlayer radio. Neither
listen again nor listen live works. The track time counter starts but
nothing plays.

I was running LMS 7.7.3 and then have upgraded to an LMS 7.8.1 nightly
from a couple of weeks ago when I hit the problem. It hasn't helped, but
I doubt the beta version has affected anything either.

I suspect that the issue is that I've just moved to a new apartment and
only have mobile broadband now. It's USB modem that attaches to a real
router, so my local network is unchanged. The issue with mobile
broadband is that the phone company has a NAT and the internet-wide IP
is shared between many users. My router registers on duckDNS (a
dynamical DNS host) as 10.0.x.x, i.e. with a private address given me by
the phone company. The internet-wide IP also seems to change quite
frequently. The router opens up the UPNP ports, but only to the private
network of the phone company and not the internet. The end result is
that my server is not accessible to incoming connections.

Is this what is breaking the iPlayer plugin? Is there any way to work
around this? The LMS built-in radio stations seem to work fine, so I am
not completely sure it is just this and not something that got broken in
the move.

Thanks!

This is why Carrier Grade NAT is evil and should have been taken out and
shot at birth. The correct solution to this is IPv6, but despite having
had nearly two decades to implement and deploy IPv6 we're still a long
way from a complete deployment.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Howto import last.fm playcount information to trackstat db?

2014-10-09 Thread erland

I've never seen any finished script that's just ready to use.

If you are a developer you can probably build something that uses the
library.getTracks API method from LastFM:
http://www.last.fm/api/show/library.getTracks

This would make it possible to import play counts from the Library you
have configured in your LastFM account.
I'm not sure there is a way to get personal play counts for tracks that
aren't in a Library in your LastFM account.

If you want the play counts of the world and not your personal play
count, it would probably be possible to use the track.getInfo method
instead:

I have UPnP disabled on my router and the iPlayer plugin works for me.
LMS 7.8 released version. I use Listen Again mostly, if live broke I

So, evils of NAT or not, you don't need UPnP for the plugin to work.

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Audioscrobbler Plugin: Love this track requires mysqueezebox

that's the way the rest of LMS is going. I'm not planning on signing up
