Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] ANNOUNCE: YouTube Plugin (API v3)
Thanks Philippe for working on this and pointing me to this updated thread, and your suggestion about the api key. I checked and the key I was using seemed to be correct, but I went ahead and created another one following the steps at the start of this thread (apart from enabling it, as it was already enabled - I only had the option to disable it.) It still is not working for me. It seems that whatever video I try to stream I get the message: "Problem: Can't connect to server for: "name of video" This is what I see in my logs: [16-09-03 23:48:16.1572] main::init (368) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.8.1, 1401187905, Fri May 30 03:03:20 UTC 2014) perl 5.014002 [16-09-03 23:54:07.8026] Slim::Utils::Timers::__ANON__ (273) Error: Timer Slim::Web::Cometd::sendResponse failed: [16-09-03 23:57:27.8781] Slim::Player::Song:: open (471) Warning: stream failed to open [youtube://www.youtube.com/v/vj63BiNL4ik]. Check your LMS log file (go to the LMS webpage, go to Settings, then Information tab, then check the Logitech Media Server Log File. Look for a line with "getWunderground" in it. In that line, there should be a URL request (e.g., http://api.wunderground.com/api/x/conditions/forecast10day/astronomy/almanac/hourly/lang:EN/q/pws:.json) Copy the URL (from http:// through .json) and paste into the address field of a regular web browser, and see what you get as a result. Likely, you are using a bad weather station, didn't correctly put in the API key (you did get a key from wunderground.com?), or didn't specify the correct format of the weather station (you can re-check your settings in the "advanced/superdatetime screensaver" in LMS). If it's not obvious, let me know what you see. You might need to increase the level of logging for SuperDateTime - that can be done in "advanced/logging" and change the value for plugin.superdatetime to "info" or "debug" and select "apply". tcutting's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17402 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=14327 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

If someone were to add a simple to use Bluetooth audio streaming device as an input plugin to LMS, allowing you to stream from your phone straight to one or more squeezeboxes in your house, the ecosystem would have a shot in the arm of oxygen and fill the remaining glaring omission in home audio functionality. Either that or even better a chromecast-like WiFi streaming capability. Most plugins concentrate on creating end-points for output of LMS content, but I'd love to see that additional input to LMS. drmatt's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59498 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53229 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Se attached log for dev-2. Now tha player actually appears in LMS as DOSS1530_01FC, not the name Kitchen which is also seen in the config file of the bridge. However no sound output. A step forward anyway :-) +---+ |Filename: log_config dev-2 20160903.txt| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21009| +---+ meri1036's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66006 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105198 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Most owners of Squeezeboxes will have moved on by now, most to the likes of Chromecast and simple Bluetooth streaming. Although we all know the rewards for persistence with Squeezebox are great, very few people are that interested or have the patience. Those that don't will have bought something else yonks ago, those that do will already have found this forum. Sonos's days are numbered. We all have smartphones now and it is a doddle to set up streaming of any content or app to a speaker or hi-fi for relative pennies.
