No more 100% load and the LMS gui is still responsive and it is possible to get the musical "control" back to LMS. So your unpolite closing of socket seems to work (for me atleast!). What player? You mean which kind of SB device, right? It is a SB Touch. One more thing, so that I understand :-). Am I supposed to point to disaster123's old repo or your repo (non dev?)? Disaster123's version of ShairTunes works with LocalPlayer below 1.8, but in the update I've made, I took into account these other plugins I've done which transforms a uPnP/Chromecast/AirPlay player into a squeezebox to avoid creating an "infinite loop" of players. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Local Player plugin and Squeezelite for Linux/Windows/OSX
Hi, I'm running LMS 7.9.0 on my Mac running 10.11.6. I have Local Player 1.6.5 installed, and it works great. I also have ShairTunes installed, and it works too, except that some time in the last while the Local Player no longer gets shared as an AirPlay target by ShairTunes. I'm using the ShairTunes from disaster123 as opposed to the ShairTunes2 fork due to a CPU usage bug. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Local Player to see if that would help, but it hasn't. I remember a few years ago reading that either rpmforge or rpmfusion was deprecated, that it was better to switch to the other one. But I was depending on a few specific packages so I never tried removing the deprecated repo (being a sysadmin is not my cup of tea, but I can manage if I need to; and nothing broke so I never fixed anything about it). I could try to find how to get yum to list all the installed packages, with their version and repo, if that is possible. Seems to me like a package manager should keep track of this stuff! Only after I got all the other information you asked for (which all looks correct - process user matches file owner, etc.) did I get onto the first step you mentioned. Deleting the cached files on the server solved the problem and I now have extra settings in the iPlayer preferences and the streams are playing at 320k from both plugins. Thanks too for what you've provided. iPlayer is a massive part of what we use our Squeezeboxes for. I'll do that, but in the meantime I'll turn off DASH in LMS as a quick fix :) anotherbob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51459 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer with DASH support - test version
Messing around with the pref file directly may fix this issue temporarily but if you do not have Settings for BBCiPlayer plugin then something is awry in your LMS or how it is run - if you do not find the source other problem may show up in time. Please do not continue debugging the code or the preference file as that is not the source of your problem. There is a very very very slim possibility old pages are cached either in LMS or browser. So stop LMS, delete LMS cache directory templates and file cache.db, start LMS and clear Browser cache for LMS pages. Back to basics: 1. What does LMS report the version of BBCiPlayer and BBCiPlayerEXtra in the WebUI Settings/Plugins page ? 2. What settings are shown for the BBCiPLayer - since you using Ubuntu use something like screenshot ? 3. What userid does LMS run under ? 4. Are the userid of owner and group of the BBCIplayer files all the same and the same as LMS userid ? Especially check the files in the BBCiPLayer plugin and especially check basic.html in /Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/BBCiPlayer/HTML/EN/plugins/BBCiPlayer/settings bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] DSTM stops with one track in playlist
Great catch! I'll fix asap. Thanks a lot! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] DSTM stops with one track in playlist
But the bug in DSTM is that it don't cover the unlimited case . For sanity it should have some very large upper cap as it can add tracks from services to not only your local files . my 47000 local files are bad enough :P . In general I think using a very large playlist cap in LMS is better than unlimited a lot of conditions in plugins and random play etc get potentially generate insane playlists . So if running a very powerful server just use the total library count as upper limit . Historically LMS has been horrible handling large list performance is not good . A good stress test is to load a huge playlist and then quickly press shuffle several times in a row and watch the server stall for several minutes ?
